The rate of rental growth across the country accelerated sharply in December and through into the New Year with some UK agencies recording the fastest rate of rental growth recorded in more than four and a half years. In recent months, all nine regions in England saw rents rise during December and Amber Valley was no exception!
All through the pandemic Amber Valley has benefited from a buoyant rental market with well presented & well cared for rental properties letting quickly and for strong rental prices.
That is not to say that the rental market has been plain sailing for all landlords. The industry has experienced many changes and challenges over the course of the pandemic and with the latest announcement that the eviction ban will be extended until February 21st “at least”, it doesn’t appear that things will be getting any easier for landlords any time soon.
But the changes don’t appear to be deterring all landlords as we have many new rental properties ready to enter our books over the coming months and if the current trend continues we have every expectation of letting these homes to reliable tenants in a quick, safe and secure manner.
